You are probably aaaaalmost annoyed by the fact that I’m too obsessed with my fur babies. But trust me, if your dog had babies you would freak out too! haha.

The moment I found out that Maui was pregnant I cried of happiness. I educated myself on every detail to be prepared for any situation. I knew that Maui was depended on my knowledge, so there was no room for screwing up. It was scary, but also the best experience I have ever been through. I was so nervous that it almost felt like I was going to deliver the babies under labour, LOL.

Maui gets the mommy of the year award from me! WOW, what a dog. She did not only deliver her babies perfectly by herself, but her performance was like she has done this before. My work was just to be on the safe side, because I knew this was a matter of minutes before it could go wrong. Ever since labour Maui has dedicated her life to taking care of them.

I could have never done this alone. My boyfriend works from home so he was able to take care of Maui’s every day need during her 2 months pregnancy + ofc after birth. First couple of weeks were kinda boring because nothing really happen. Their eyes are closed and all they do is sleep and eat. But at day 11 when our tiniest puppy opened his eyes, that’s when the fun began!

At 2 weeks, every single day is different. You find yourself be blown away by their first poop and everything else we that is normal, haha. It is hard to sleep at night because you are constantly scared for their well-being. They don’t have a lot of energy, and if they are pushed into a corner they might not get out and worst case die. Maui didn’t sleep for three days straight. Every time they made a noise, she was so protective and scared for their life.

All of the puppies grew up in a really good and healthy environment. They had a big playground, they were sociallized from day one and their mom was really present. For me, this experience has been something I will NEVER forget and I’m so thankful for the amazing dogs she has given us. But will I do it again? I don’t think so. It was A LOT of work + a lot of love. But our timing was perfect so that’s why it worked out so smoothly for me.

I have spent a lot of time making this video as good as it can get. If you like it, please share it with your doglover friends :)))

Aaaand if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me! I’d love to share more of my experience with dog breeding.

With lots of love,
Florentina
